Episode 20: 9-Hours short of graduation Burt Hanna quits the U of A to start a Multi-Million dollar Potpourri and Candle company and the rest as they say is History

About the Show:

On this episode of the podcast, we sit down with Burt Hanna of Hanna’s Candles to discuss his Entrepreneurial path, being a World-Class Water Skier, the son of a former Mayor of Fayetteville, and why he quit the University of Arkansas 9-hours shy of graduation to start his company. Extremely interesting and engaging Burt shared his recipe for business success which begins and ends with hard work and sometimes a little bit of luck.

Burt started out with Potpourri and found success very quickly utilizing an assortment of dyes and scents to make the stuff that looks like you found it raking up in your backyard something that you would find adorning the finest of homes.  Not to be outdone Burt tackled candles next. He spent about a month or two in the Fayetteville Public Library researching and figuring out ways to make candles economically and efficiently and then went to work.

If you are an entrepreneur and you are just “getting by,” and you need some encouragement to keep going, you MUST listen to this podcast.
